The motto of Yoga is, “Many paths. One Light”. Yoga translates as, ‘united’ or ‘all one’. All the various paths of Yoga lead to the Light, where we sense ourselves as united, and all one in Yoga.
The American Yoga Alliance is an organization. There are many wonderful Yoga organizations that honour and support the various paths of Yoga. These organizations appeal to the different needs of the students, according to where they live, and what their interests are. Look here.
As a co-founder of the Yoga Alliance of America I am disappointed in their attempts at separating the various paths of Yoga by their intention of being the ONLY organization for Yoga. Therefore, I am removing their name from all of my postings. I now support the Canadian Yoga Alliance
